Savour

Listen to the wind,
it has secrets to share.

Watch the clouds move,
they have poems to shed.

Smell earth’s rich gifts,
they speak in parables.

Taste the sweet freshness,
it is honey unchained.

Touch the lake of longing,
hunger is belonging.

Window

Take a moment
like right now
for example.
Look out of the window
and marvel.
The clouds
the trees
the birds
a pinch of blue sky.
It’s all a miracle.

How lucky to be you.

Refuge

You step outside
and drink it all in
musing about life
and the hope within

You wonder if this
is the heart of it all
while the kites glide
the leaves start to fall

You gaze at the world
the fury and the pain
the grasses sway
will peace ever reign?

You pause for a while
pray for the best
accept the kernel
everything is blessed

You wake up to light
and treasure the gift
the journey to joy
wherever you drift

You realise the truth
safety is a place
that resides in the mind
a gateway to grace

You stay alert
to the power above
the radiant roses
the fragrance of love

Meditation 55: Intimacy

If you truly want to be seen
and desired for who you really are
throw away the weight of expectation
and reveal your beautiful, imperfect self
in all its naked, unvarnished glory.
There is nothing more enduring
than cradling the radiant waves
of trust, safety, connection, respect
on the shores of mutual adoration.
When we reveal our hopes and longings
with the one who fills us with song
we come into a richer sense of belonging.

Haiku

Moments flicker

Wind pulling at the edges

Everything changes.

Christmas Kiss

Underneath the mistletoe,
Longings flutter like the snow,
For know you this pretty Miss,
You’re my sweetest Christmas kiss.
