Spirit

Everything in life comes back to the soul. How you think, feel and act – in your personal relationships and when you are out in the world. Soulfulness is the gift when we are fully present to the beautiful mysteries of living. When we yield to the beauty of the soul, how richer and more meaningful life becomes. To be aware of this presence is to be aware of the transformative power of belonging. Our senses are sharpened by the soul’s longing for deep intimacy.

Soulful

As the sun rises with unbounded delight
may its light fill you with deep gratitude.
As the breeze kisses the awakened trees
may its freshness wrap you with a luminous calm.
As summer rain nurtures the dusty earth
may its reprieve imbue you with soulful presence.
As the sea mingles with the grateful sand,
may the spirit of affection wash you with sacred longing.
As the elements mingle in contented grace
may your heart unfurl with peaceful passion.
As the sun sets with welcome relish
may kindness remain your guiding star.

Kindness is a cream
soothing bigotry and scars –
listen to the birds

Summer Night

All is quiet, embalmed
in a roaring peace.
My heart jumping
at the glint of touch.
The stars throb
unceasingly,
dreams flow and glow.

Won’t You?

Won’t you hold my
hand a little while
in this sea of plenty?

Won’t you stroke my
heart with gentleness
and watch the flowers bloom?

Won’t you walk with
me without chains or ropes
and kiss the world awake?

Won’t you cradle my
head and glimpse the sun
woo the morning dew?

Won’t you feast on liberty
and let your senses
swell in gaiety?

Won’t you lose yourself
in the wholesome flow,
bathed in wonderment?

Won’t you be a star
near and afar
on this burnished path?

Won’t you?

Tranquillity

Be still, be still –
Beauty drowns
Sorrows that kill.

Be still, be still –
Birdsong soothes
The daily drill.

Be still, be still –
Mystery sings
On every hill.

Be still, be still –
Happiness fills
The ardent will.

Be still, be still –
Love is the wine
Lovers distil.
