Squirrel Revisited

You came back, eager to share
a message of hope easing despair.
Time soon passes with all its griefs,
inhale the joy, savour,and take care.
As our eyes met, an energy pulsed;
Revel in balance, have faith in trust.
Change is the essence of life and love;
Lean in, be joyful,it all crumbles to dust.

Meditation 95: Vitality

The energy you create is ultimately the energy  you give. How to cultivate this is a skill that we can practice throughout our lives. It can be as simple as performing a kind act, giving a smile, greeting the sky with a sun salute, or doing good in the world, in work and in play. Stretching yourself will help to nourish every facet of who you are. The essential thing is never to give in, for what lies beyond the sense of spiritedness is an awareness of all those qualities that make  us lovable and attractive: confidence, passion, kindness, charisma, and generosity. Vitality is the spring from which we can renew ourselves with vigour and unabashed glee. To embrace liveliness and optimism in a world riven with discord and hate is a revolutionary act. Keep the verve burning.
