Afloat

Nurtured by experience,
the self flowers and flows
in fluvial dreams.

Watered in the mind’s expanse,
the self swells
with sensual surprise.

Feeding on earthy riches,
the self rises
to taste fresh realms.

Lapping up ecstatic tears,
the self swims
in love’s deep sea.

Stilled by waves of wonder,
the self crests
buoyant depths.

Coupling

Let us dance
You and I,
while the moon
floats
above the sea.

Let us kiss
You and I,
while the trees
hug
the holy breeze.

Let us sing
You and I,
while the wind
strokes
our naked minds.

Let us talk
You and I,
while the night
breathes
its tender spell.

Let us love
You and I,
while the sun
lights
this zealous fire.

Let us spell
You and I,
while the sand
flows
through hot hands.

Come As One

I dream you naked
distant as a star,
shining without fright
on my solitary life.
Brazen is my creed
to drink on this
succulent need.
Alone, I cry unheard
as ancient cares
drift into space.

But if we come as one,
in a burning blaze
dispelling convention,
I will show you
what is wild and unfenced,
modesty dispensed.

Renewal

After the sorow, laughter flows
a river of light on this deep earth.
After the shadows, morning beckons
a beaker of hope proffering mirth.
After the mist, clarity descends
on roads of hope, while the soul does surf.
After sparseness, rich bounty blazes
in love’s gentle hand, tending rebirth.
