Hold Me

Hold me, don’t deny your love

teach me, the truth of the dove

give me, your wisdom that glows

kiss me, deeply in the groves.

Search me, I’ve nothing to hide

touch me, the smile’s in the ride

seek me, I dance in the sky

dream me, you’ll see me walk by.

Leave me, sorrow is the thorn

hear me, singsong of the dawn

see me, furrowed with a frown

love me, burnished by your crown.

My Love

Like the lapping of the sea

                        a ceaseless tide

Like the birds that fly free

                        across the sky

Like flowers that dance bright

                        in the breeze

Like the morning tea

                        a welcome sight

Like walking on the beach

                        a sensuous delight

Like the sun riding high

                        flaming with light

Like the swish of the trees

                        tickling the soul

Like waterfalls that pour

                        a primeval roar

Like the release of spring

                        mantled in green

Like picnics in the fields

                        singing with laughter

Like the fruit of autumn

                        harvest of hope

Like snow on the hills

                        a weighted presence

Like the pulse of the earth

                        this elemental love

Two Triolets

The Wonder of Love

The wonder of love is the look

bathed in brightness, a sparkling eye

flowing pure like the pristine brook.

The wonder of love is the look,

a rill of hope that beats the book,

red pages flying through the sky;

the wonder of love is the look

bathed in brightness, a sparkling eye.

Swimming

Gliding through water, sweet release

splash of softness a welcome thrill;

raise the mind to its rightful niche

gliding through water, sweet release

dazzling blue enriching the peace,

appeasing blows that dare to kill;

gliding through water, sweet release

splash of softness a welcome thrill.

Pillow Talk

Would you, my dear?

What’s that, my dear?

You know, my dear.

I don’t, my dear.

Go on, my dear?

Not now, my dear.

Why not, my dear?

Too hot, my dear.

Oh no, my dear.

That’s right, my dear.

A shame, my dear.

I know, my dear

Let’s go, my dear?

Where to, my dear?

Don’t know, my dear.

Don’t go, my dear.

Why not, my dear?

Cooled down, my dear.

That’s grand, my dear.

Shall we, my dear?

Why not, my dear?

You’re scrumptious, my dear.

You’re divine, my dear.
